prophecies of Nostradogus
Written here for all who seek wisdom, are the prophecies of Nostradogus, take heed Agility handlers, for these things will come to pass.
In the future our trainers and handlers shall put aside the scales from their eyes, yea I tell thee that they shall recognise the benefits of training with kindness, with treats and toys and devices that doth click and our lives shall be made better.
For that which motivates us to work for the love of our handlers maketh us to touch the yellow bits which are so precious to our handlers, it maketh us weave like unto demons and our bodies to soar over the poles with great joy.
These wondrous methods can be found in the texts of the true behaviourists and are free from the tradition and superstition, which for so long blinded our trainers to the true path. Yea I tell thee that these self styled false behaviourists and trainers shall be cast down and their falsehoods revealed for what they are. For their methods are cruel and should be seen as an abomination on the face of all Dogdom.
Lo I tell ye that a time shall come when our trainers and coaches shall be certificated, and their learning shall be in the true wisdom of training, with love and with joy. That this system of
certification shall be recognised across all of Dogdom, and not that instigated by those who believe that they know the truth and take unto themselves, with no justification, the certification of our trainers.
For those that doth give this same certification are avaricious, and do plagiarise some of the true writings, claiming them as their own methods without due acknowledgement or recognition of their sources. And yea I tell ye, without true understanding of the very principles which they doth ape.
There are amongst us, both our mighty and our noviciates, who doth profess that "Agility is Fun" yet they use methods abhorrent to all of us, and with cursing and yea, I tell ye even with beatings, do attempt to "train" us, who run for the love of our handlers. I tell ye that, for those of us who do not worship such handlers, Agility is not fun.
The strivings of Agility are serious, for our discipline is serious and should be seen as a sport. Nay, the fun of agility lies within the training, with gentleness and motivational methods, this is the true "Fun of Agility"
These things shall come to pass, and agility shall again be fun, when our handlers listen to the science and reason of training and cast aside those false gods who do promote tradition, cruelty and punishment as training methods.
